Longest 3D metal sign

The 3D metal sign installed on the wall of Almatti Dam in Karnataka measures 112.72 m long and covers an area of 588.2 sq m. It was designed and installed by Rishikesh H Raut and his team at Bucket Design, Lonavala, Maharashtra for Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Ltd, a Govt of Karnataka undertaking. The sign has 11 letters in Kannada and reads ‘Lal Bahadur Shastri Sagar’. The height of letters on an average is 5 m while the maximum is 8.2 m. It was made using mild steel (over 10,000 kg), aluminium composite panels (over 5,000 sq ft) and bamboo (2,500 pieces). Completed on Feb 28, 2015, the installation stands 70 ft above the ground and is externally illuminated for visibility after sunset.
