About Us

On December 12, 1911, George V, Emperor of India announced that the capital of the Raj was to be shifted from Calcutta to Delhi. A momentous decision indeed! Newly constructed New Delhi thus became the eighth city to be built at the site of the seven cities that preceded it. From monuments to the speeding Metro, historically tracing the city’s edifices entails travelling 5000 years in time from the Mahabharata era to a modern 21st century capital city. Current Delhi, a melting pot of mingling myriad cultures for centuries, defies imagination, vibrant and pulsating with life. A placid countryside soon after Independence, by the turn of the century it had become a sprawling, bustling city beating most parameters existing in other big cities. Cosmopolitan New Delhi is the biggest, fastest-growing city in India and the fourth fastest in the world.
